TP Töllner/Müller: The neural correlates of human cognition during physical activity and exercise

PhD student Gordon Dodwell:

"How do physical activity and exercise influence our cognitive functions? While a substantial body of research has investigated the effects of exercise on cognitive performance in humans, few have attempted to monitor the neural correlates of cognitive processing during concurrent movement.

In my research, I employ neuroimaging and neuromonitoring methodologies such as electroencephalography (eeg) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to investigate how the neural dynamics of cognitive performance are influenced during active motion"
